IP Monitoring
Ventrus Availability monitoring includes the pinging of one IP address per device at set intervals of your choice to determine whether the device is up or down. If the device is on down-status for two successive attempts, Ventrus will send you an e-mail or alert and log the event. You can review event logs and reports via our Web portal.
URL monitoring
URL monitoring verifies the availability of specified, addressable, standard HTTP and HTTPS URLs. The service polls all designated URLs at set intervals to determine whether a Web site is available. If the URL does not respond after two successive attempts, Ventrus will send you an e-mail alert and log the event. You can review event logs via our Web portal.
Port monitoring
Inline with URL monitoring, Port monitoring verifies the availability of any port capable of receiving a connection. The service polls all designated ports at set intervals to determine availability. If the port is not open after 2 successive attempts, Ventrus will send you and e-mail alert and log the event. You can review event logs via our Web portal.
